Groups FAQs

What is the purpose of Northgate Groups?

To Grow Deeper With God and Each Other.

What types of Groups are available?

There are four types of Groups.

Journey Groups are our basic Bible study groups that meet for the purposes of connecting with one another and growing in their relationship with God. These groups are discussion-based and require little preparation to teach or attend. Some will include dvd material. These groups meet on a semester basis for 10-12 weeks.

Explore Groups are generally book studies which are more in-depth and require more preparation. These groups meet on a semester basis for the length of the book study (8-12 weeks).

Life Groups are play groups. These groups are event based and are formed so group members can have fun and build friendships. These groups will be formed throughout the year.

GROWU Groups are short-term classes on specific relevant topics using the lecture-based approach. These classes will generally run 4-8 weeks.

How are the Groups offered and how often do they meet?

Groups are semester driven, and new groups will be introduced each semester. We encourage groups to meet weekly but some meet biweekly.

Where do Groups meet?

These groups meet in various locations across the area, primarily in the homes of Northgate members.

What about childcare for the Groups?

Yes, via non-programmed childcare on Sundays and Wednesdays or childcare reimbursement the rest of the week.

What if I have questions about Groups?
